The ideal Registered Nurse for our team will be highly motivated to provide safe care and treatment for Recovery Room patients before, during and after surgery.
Dr Randy Berger is a well established Oral Surgeon who has been practicing in Regina for over 30 years.

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING:

Wage will be matched to your current SHA Wage
SCHEDULE:
-
7:00am to 12:00pm (possibly until 2pm)

Monday thru Friday (Fridays only until 12pm)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
-
Must have passed the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) or The National Council Licensure Examination – Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN)

Pre-operative chart review of upcoming patients
-
Pre-operative review of allergies and medical concerns
-
Connecting ECG, ETCO2, blood pressure and pulse oxymetry meters
-
Starting intravenous lines, though Dr Berger is always available to help with this task
-
Intr-operative patient monitoring and and charting
-
Post-operative patient monitoring and post-operative instructions prior to discharge
-
Managing the emergency drugs regarding expiry dates and re-ordering
-
Be prepared to perform necessary duties in an emergency situation such as CPR, IV line, administer emergency drugs, manage a patient airway, use a Lifepak monitor defibrillator

Be familiar with and trained in ACLS (PALS not required)

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
