The Raise has partnered with our client, aleading provider of mission critical turnkey data and voice communication as well as industrial software solutions for clients across Canada and the United States for over 20 years.Theyare experts on Telecom: Land lease negotiations & civil work for turnkey construction Communication Tower design, construction, installation and maintenance Carrier services - LTE installation (overlays or Greenfield), provisioning & commissioning Design and implementation of Wireless LAN and WANs.
They are a team of talented, dedicated engineers, with a strong desire to lead IT. Now, they’re looking for you: their new Structural Design Engineer to join their successful team.
As their newStructural Design Engineer, you will be reporting to the President and will work with a team of highly skilled technicians to ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget and exceed client expectations.
Practically speaking, you will:
Be responsible for the preliminary and detailed design of guyed towers, monopoles, self-support towers, masts, foundations, steel structures and supporting buildings.
Perform preliminary and detailed structural analysis and design for variety of small, medium, and largescale projects.
Perform site visits and inspections to monitor project progress, address any design related issues, and ensure that the construction aligns with the approved plans and specifications.
Identify and resolve technical challenges that arise during the design and construction phases to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Ensure compliance with national and provincial building codes and regulations, and industry safety standards.
Prepare various documents and reports as requested by clients and senior management.
Assure compliance with company policies, contracts, and applicable laws.
Perform project management duties to see projects through from conception to implementation.
Supervise the work of the civil engineering technologists, provide guidance on specifications and drawings.
Be the responsible member representing the client for APEGA.

The incumbent must have a valid driver’s license and a proven clean driver’s abstract to travel and use the company’s vehicle.Traveling will be required up to 30% to the project’s locations.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) License in Alberta - a registered professional engineer APEGA (required).
Experience working with National and Alberta Building Codes.
Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other structural design software.
Capable of managing and working on several projects in different stages.
Valid driver’s license and willing to travel occasionally.
