Job Description

The Civil Inspector is the individual responsible to ensure the civil component of the project/activity is in compliance with all regulations, company policies and specifications.

Monitoring the geotechnical contractor’s work, e.g., concrete and compaction testing

Monitoring piling activities and ensuring proper quality, size and spacing, and ensuring piling logs are maintained by the contractor

Monitoring piling activities and ensuring proper quality, size, spacing and embedment, and ensuring piling logs are completed and submitted

Monitoring all concrete pours to ensure anchor bolts, embedment, rebar and forms conform to dimensions and locations

Monitoring a third-party survey contractor to verify data (e.g., volumes, grades and critical anchor bolts)
Qualifications

API 1169 certification preferred all levels

Carries a degree / diploma as a civil engineer, technician or technologist;
Certification from the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program as a journeyman in a relevant field
