Base Met Labs is a commercial laboratory which specializes in recovery of base and precious metals from raw mineralization. We are looking for a dedicated mineralogy technician to join our team. Responsibilities of the metallurgist are summarized as follows:
- Working with a team of skilled engineers and under the supervision of a senior metallurgist
- Assist with set-up and layout of equipment and tests
- Interpret metallurgical and mineralogical test work results
- Prepare technical reports
- Liaise with client’s to ensure their objectives are met
- Prepare quotations and proposal based on client needs
Required knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- Metallurgical testing in a laboratory setting is preferred but not essential
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Good communication skills with well-developed written and oral skills
