We are looking for a Full Time Recovery Support Worker (LYNX Recovery House) for Medicine Hat.
Here is how you will contribute as a Recovery Support Worker:
o The LYNX Recovery House provides a safe, supportive, sober, and abstinence-based transitional housing environment for individuals 18+ who are awaiting treatment or are returning from treatment.
o Provide recovery-based support services for up to 16 adults (18+) in residential setting.
o Provide support for appropriate housing and/or rehousing of individuals after treatment.
o Provide system navigation support and healthy connections to community.
o Demonstrate knowledge of a wide variety of intervention strategies and skill building resources.
o Actively and effectively advocate for the needs of the participants in your programs using a strength-based, trauma informed and harm reduction approach.
o Willing to work a flexible schedule; shifts will include a combination of day and evening hours.

Required Qualifications:
o Degree/Diploma in related field (Human Services, Psychology, Social Work etc.). Combinations of education and experience may be considered.
o Minimum of one (1) year experience in the field of addiction and homelessness.
o Knowledge and experience in case management, intervention, wrap around supports and advocacy.
o Strong interpersonal, communication, interviewing, assessment, teaching, and intervention skills.
o Strengths in crisis intervention, case management, communication and administrative skills are a must.
o Child Intervention Check and Clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector dated within the past six months,
o Clear 3-Year Driver’s Abstract, valid AB Driver’s License, daily use of reliable vehicle and minimum $2M vehicle insurance to carry passengers.
o Standard First Aid CPR Level C Certification.
