You are registered and in good standing with the Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR) and are eligible for membership with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC). A Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education would be a valuable asset. You have demonstrated your competence through a minimum of two years' practical experience in delivering and developing adult education or clinical instruction programs. Ideally, this experience has been gained in a nursing or allied health environment, preferably in long-term care settings.
About The Role
As the leader of our education initiatives within the long-term care and assisted living communities in Victoria, you play a crucial role in realizing our vision of providing exceptional care that enriches the lives of seniors within a supportive community. Your focus is on enhancing team member performance through comprehensive education, coaching, mentoring, and guidance. Creating an environment that upholds the values of autonomy, independence, dignity, and privacy for our residents is paramount. Simultaneously, you cultivate a work environment that promotes fun, respect, and professionalism among our team members. As an ambassador for Baptist Housing, you are responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with residents, families, team members, partners, and various stakeholders. This includes regulatory authorities, associations, and agencies. Working collaboratively with other clinical practice leads throughout Baptist Housing. Your leadership role ensures that our education initiatives align with Baptist Housing's values and mission and contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our residents, team members, and stakeholders. This is a part-time (four days per week), permanent position located at The Heights community in Victoria, and you will report to the Clinical Services Manager, who is based in Kelowna.
