What are we looking for?
Current and Relevant Experience in Early Childhood Development: Our person needs to have practical experience in the field of early childhood development. It's important you not only have experience with working with children and building community for families and also that you are a continuous learner and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and practices in this field.
Two-Years Experience in a Leadership Role in a Non-Profit Organization: We are looking for at least two years of prior experience in a leadership role within a non-profit organization. This experience should include successfully leading and developing teams. Leadership skills are essential to guide and motivate the team effectively.
Strategic Lens on Impact: You should have a strategic perspective on how the work performed "on the floor" at our programming level and how directly affects the lives of families in the immediate, short-term, and long-term. Our person should be able to see the bigger picture and understand how day-to-day operations contribute to our organization's mission and goals.
Strategic Lens on Organizational Development: In addition to program-level impact, the candidate should also have a strategic perspective on how the organization as a whole should develop. This includes familiarity with fundraising strategies and the ability to anticipate and assess the needs of both the team and the organization.
Top-Level Communication Skills: Effective communication is crucial for this role. The candidate should be an exceptional communicator who can build strong relationships - we are looking for a community builder across very diverse groups of people.
