Description: The Social Worker II (SW) provides services to clients and families including psychosocial assessment, crisis intervention, education, treatment, advocacy, resource finding, consultation, and discharge planning. The SW II is responsible for the provision of services in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the HSAA Paramedical Professional/Technical Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Social Work program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) required.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in acute care and/or continuing care. Awareness of community resources. Expertise in capacity and legal decision-making options and working with the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee. Understanding of financial resources and how to access them (federal/provincial pensions, immigrants and refugee resources, seniors).
