JOB DUTIES:
- Utilizes the knowledge and skills from the disciplines of Occupational Therapy to assess, monitor and provide treatment to clients across their lifespan in the areas of fine and visual motor, self care, feeding skill development and sensory integration/regulation, while optimizing their participation in daily activities.
- Participates in the intake process for Early Intervention Services (EIS) and Therapy Services within the Region.
- Completes initial Occupational Therapy assessments and re-assessments and delivers services as per the College of Occupational Therapy Standards and EIS guidelines.
- Completes all required documentation, statistical information, reports and correspondence, in accordance with Regional/Provincial Acts and Guidelines, College of Physiotherapy and EIS guidelines.
- Responds to inquiries and resolves concerns, as appropriate, from the general public etc.
- Maintains current knowledge regarding the field of early intervention as well as Occupational Therapy disciplines, respectively.
MUST HAVE:
- Successful completion of a degree or certificate in Occupational Therapy or approved equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapy of Ontario.
- Valid Ontario Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including customer focus, communication, collaboration and personal ownership.
