Base Met Labs is a commercial laboratory which specializes in recovery of base and precious metals from raw mineralization. We are looking for a dedicated Metallurgist to join our team.
Responsibilities of the senior metallurgist are summarized as follows:
· Manage projects, which include the following activities:
- Bid preparation
- Client interaction
- Complete metallurgical balances and communicate data to the clients
- Analyze data and determine direction of the testing program based upon the results
- Upon completion of the test program, analyze and present the data in a format suitable for using in the project final report
- Write final technical reports for projects under management and projects managed by others if needed
· Conducting, supervising, and reporting bench scale and [pilot plant test work
· Direct, supervise and when necessary, conduct test work in laboratory
· Liaising with a Technical Services Manager regarding ongoing test programmes
· Providing a mentoring role for other technical staff
· Observe established safety regulations and comply with all health and safety policies
· Other duties as assigned by the manager
