Reporting to the Team-Lead Clinical Program Operations, the Clinical Services Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operations supporting the Clinical Services team.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage, process and evaluate patient applications – request for drug coverage
- Respond to patient and client inquiries through telephone, mail and/or email
- Provide ongoing feedback to management personnel regarding day-to-day operations and potential improvements to quality, efficiency, and overall performance
- Determine patient drug coverage options and coordinate application to various drug programs
- Manage, process and support on-going/special projects for the Clinical Services team
- Proactively assist with process development, administrative duties and any Clinical Services related tasks as needed
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Post-secondary education is a must
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in Pharmacy setting is required
- Knowledge and/or previous exposure to provincial and private drug plans, medication access and reimbursement programs
- Proven and demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to organize, coordinate and prioritize own work
- Demonstrated strong ability to effectively communicate (verbal/written)
- Demonstrated capacity to liaise in a constructive and collaborative fashion with a variety of healthcare providers and staff at various organizational levels
- Working knowledge of MS Office Applications is a MUST – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated commitment to collaborative practice and lifelong learning
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time, Fixed term contract
Salary: $40,000.00-$45,000.00 per year
