As we continue to expand our services, we are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Pharmacist to join our team on a part-time basis.
Job Summary: As a Part-Time Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our valued patients. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall well-being of the community we serve. The pharmacist position we are offering entails working one weekend shift per month, with the possibility of additional shifts on an as-needed basis.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines.
- Review medication orders and ensure they are appropriate for the patient's condition and medical history.
- Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding the proper use and potential side effects of medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care outcomes.
- Maintain proper storage and security conditions for all medications.
- Monitor medication stock levels and place orders when necessary.
- Adhere to all relevant provincial and federal regulations pertaining to pharmacy operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Valid Pharmacist license in Nova Scotia.
- Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience as a Pharmacist, preferably in a retail or clinical setting.
- Excellent knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work one weekend shift per month, with the potential for additional shifts as needed.
