Kleinschmidt has a full-time opening for a Senior Engineer in Newfoundland, Canada to manage people, projects, and client relationships. Nova Scotia and other immediate areas may also be considered. Who You Are
A licensed Professional Engineer with a BS and a minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering within the structural, mechanical, or geotechnical engineering disciplines.
Knowledgeable: Experience as a project engineer leading a design team and experience working in the field with clients and contractors during planning and construction of projects. The candidate will also possess excellent problem-solving skills, oral and written communication skills to manage projects and clients. Design experience with dams or hydroelectric facilities is preferred.
Project Manager: Experience working on and managing all aspects of complex projects, working directly with senior leaders to provide practical solutions to complex problems affecting renewable energy, water, and the environment.
Relationship-focused: Ability to establish long-lasting relationships with clients to assist them in solving complex engineering challenges, demonstrate the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team while applying engineering skills from analysis and design through to construction.

About the Position
The position includes a combination of project engineering and management for unique engineering design projects involving retrofits and rehabilitation efforts at existing dams and hydroelectric projects. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a proven or emerging leader to help a nationally known firm grow an already-established presence in Canada.
