About this position: As an integral part of the Community Living Team, you will support the quality of life for the persons served by ensuring that their physical, social, vocational, educational and medical needs are met. You will also participate in the implementation of all aspects of the participant’s program, including agency policies, procedures and philosophy. You will assist residents to live successfully in our staffed group homes, and ensure that their needs are met. You will also help enhance the residents’ quality of life with activities of daily living and the development of life skills.

Requirements of the job:
· A Community Support Worker Certificate, or equivalent education and experience
· Three months’ experience delivering similar services supporting individuals with disabilities in community settings
· Valid First Aid and CPR certification
· Valid Food Safety Certification
· You will need to have a drivers’ license, a current and satisfactory criminal record check, a satisfatory drivers’ abstract, a physician’s health reference, and a negative TB test
· Experience using Microsoft Office suite, preferred

· Successful applicants must acquire Class 4 Unrestricted drivers’ license in order to pass the trial period
