The physiotherapist adds to the quality of life of people who live at Mount St. Mary Hospital by providing physiotherapy assessments, treatment and intervention for individual residents and groups of residents specifically relating to physical needs. Provides instruction in the hospital-wide musculoskeletal injury prevention program.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Rehabilitation from an approved university:
Eligibility for membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association;
Current membership in Physiotherapy Association of BC (PABC)
Two years recent experience in a long term care facility
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the use, care and maintenance of related equipment
Ability to organize work, set priorities, and work with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff
Ability to plan and provide education and instruction to adults
Physical ability to perform the duties of the job
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $41.32-$51.40 per hour
