Calling all experienced Public Health Nurses, Community Health Nurse or Nurse Practitioners! We are seeking dedicated, enthusiastic and self-motivated nurses to join our workforce with the Tlicho Community Health Agency!
The team is currently welcoming applications for the following positions for a 1 year Term:
Community Health Nurse – 1 year Term
Typically, the qualifications for this position are attained by:
- A Nursing Degree, and two (2) years of recent nursing experience in an Emergency Room (ER) setting or within a Community Health Centre.
Public Health Nurse – 1 year Term
Typically, the qualifications for this position are attained by:
- The successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing degree with 2 years recent experience in public health and community health environment.
Nurse Practitioner – 1 year Term
Typically, the qualifications for this position are attained by:
- Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing degree;
- Completion of a Master of Nursing degree – Nurse Practitioner;
- 2 years recent Nurse Practitioner experience in an emergency department or community health center.

We offer competitive compensation:
Holding the most competitive salary in the country, our Public Health Nurses (PHN), Community Health Nurse (CHN) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) both respectively earn a salary range of:
- PHN: $95,784 - $114,426/year or $49.12 - $58.68/hr
- CHN: $104,910 – $125,307/year or $53.80 - $64.26/hr
- NP: $114,816 – $137,163/year or $58.88 - $70.34/hr
In addition to the above, we offer multiple generous allowances:
- Northern Living Allowance: $5,517/year, pro-rated
- Academic Allowance: An additional $100/month for holding a bachelor’s degree
- The Government of the Northwest Territories also offers overtime and shift premium earnings, when in an eligible nursing position.
