What your job duties will include:
- Manage projects, which include the following activities:
- Preliminary bid preparation for simple projects;
- Respond to client inquiries and provide support as needed;
- Complete metallurgical balances and communicate data to the clients;
- Summarize data for interpretation of senior project members and present data in a format suitable for using in the project final report;
- Write final technical reports for projects under management and projects managed by others if needed using standardized formats;
- Conducting, supervising and reporting bench scale and pilot plant test work;
- Direct, supervise, and, when necessary, conduct test work in laboratory;
- Liaising with senior project members regarding ongoing test programs;
- Assist in the development of new testing capabilities;
- Represent ALS Metallurgy at trade shows, conferences, mining shows, etc. as required; these events may occur outside regular office hours;
- Actively participate in the training and development plan by meeting with senior engineers on a regular basis;
- Use correct methods in accordance with the established procedures and schedules while ensuring analytical quality;
- Observe established safety regulations and comply with all ALS health and safety policies and procedures;
- Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Required Qualifications:
- Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical or Mineral Processing degree (or equivalent) required;
- Working towards PEng preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours per day;
- Ability to lift filled 20 litre containers (45 lb);
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.
